Abstract
The analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of Froben (Flurbiprofen) were estimated on the 66 cases of orthopedic diseases.
The 66 cases were 30 cases of rheumatoid arthritis, 30 cases of osteoarthritis and three cases each of malignancy and infection.
The overall results were excellent in 42 cases (63.7%), good in 16 cases (24.2%), fair in 6 cases (9.1 %o), and poor in two cases (3. 0%).
However, in rheumatoid arthritic patients 25 out of 30 cases were excellent with the ratio of 83.3%.
The side effects were minimum to other non-steroid .anti-inflammatory agents. Only three cases had the side effects such as nausea in two cases and indigestion in one. They were controlled completely by the discontinuation of drug administration.
